About Holly Jolly

A dream Andre had, now a tradition

Holly Jolly was created in memory of our founder, Andre Emmett, who was taken during a senseless act of violence in September 2019. Andre had long dreamed of giving bikes to children from single-parent households.

In partnership with his friend Josh Howard, retired Dallas Mavericks star and founder of the Josh Howard Foundation, and The Carter's House, that dream grew into a full boutique and toy-shopping experience for children and families in need.

Every year since, the community has gathered to keep that promise alive.

Who We Prioritize

Families facing loss and hardship

For Holly Jolly, our priority is to support families whose children have experienced the loss of a parent and are facing significant hardship. While we would love to reach everyone, we prioritize families who have experienced a loss within the past two years.

How the day works

  • Registered families receive a confirmation by email or text with a scheduled pick-up time slot.
  • Children shop a boutique of bikes, coats, and gifts, chosen with care, given with dignity.
  • Volunteers guide every family through a warm, celebratory experience.
